The Eye Celebrates its 90th Year

For 90 years, The Eye has served as the “Vox Ferarum Felium,” or the “Voice of the Wildcats.” Since 1927, The EYE has shared the stories of Saint Ignatius High School students.

The Eye commemorated its 90th year by continuing its fine work as an outlet for student journalism and news, with important breaking stories and impressive feature pieces.

The student newspaper remains an extracurricular devoted to improving the writing, editing, and photography skills of students, whether or not the contributors plan to study journalism in college or not.

One page in a single issue of The EYE costs approximately $50 to produce.
Please consider making a gift of $50 to the Annual Fund in support of The EYE. Your gift will help offset operating costs for each issue. To make a gift, visit

Below is a collection of The Eye’s best work over the course of the year, with links to articles. A new edition of the newspaper, the anticipated April Fools’ edition called “The Lie” will hit the newsstands soon!
